Central California Legal Services Inc. in Visalia, CA seeks a reception/intake clerk to greet visitors at the front desk, answer phones, inform about the organization, and conduct prescreen intakes to assess applicants' needs.
Responsibilities include entering client information, maintaining logs, making referrals, and supporting the Directing Attorney with team duties. Minimum 2 years in an office setting; bilingual preferred; travel may be required.

Central California Legal Services (CCLS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1966 for the purpose of providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals. CCLS core counties include Fresno, Kings, Mariposa, Merced, Tulare, and Tuolumne. CCLS's health work also extends to San Luis Obispo, Monterey, San Benito, and Stanislaus counties. In Madera County, CCLS provides limited services to seniors and on health issues. CCLS has offices in Fresno, Merced, and Visalia, and satellite offices in Mendota and Los Banos. With nearly one hundred (100) employees, CCLS's work includes direct services that meet our clients' immediate needs, education, and advocacy.
Under the direction of the Legal Advice Line Directing Attorney, the reception/intake clerk will greet visitors at the front desk and will be responsible for answering telephones, providing information about the organization, screening and interviewing possible clients, and conducting prescreen intakes to assess the needs of the applicants. The reception/intake clerk will also make appropriate referrals to community agencies as needed.
