Central California Legal Services, Inc. seeks a reception/intake clerk to greet visitors, answer phones, screen applicants, and conduct prescreen intakes.
The role involves making referrals to community agencies, entering client data into our case management system, and maintaining logs with confidentiality. Strong organizational, telephone, and interpersonal skills are essential, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Central California Legal Services (CCLS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1966 for the purpose of providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals. CCLS core counties include Fresno, Kings, Mariposa, Merced, Tulare, and Tuolumne. CCLS's health work also extends to San Luis Obispo, Monterey, San Benito, and Stanislaus counties. In Madera County, CCLS provides limited services to seniors and on health issues. CCLS has offices in Fresno, Merced, and Visalia, and satellite offices in Mendota and Los Banos. With nearly one hundred (100) employees, CCLS's work includes direct services that meet our clients' immediate needs, education, and advocacy.
Under the direction of the Legal Advice Line Directing Attorney, the reception/intake clerk will greet visitors at the front desk and will be responsible for answering telephones, providing information about the organization, screening and interviewing possible clients, and conducting prescreen intakes to assess the needs of the applicants. The reception/intake clerk will also make appropriate referrals to community agencies as needed.
