Job summary

Capital Electric in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Receiving Associate to ensure accurate receipt and stocking of material for customer orders. You will operate forklifts, scan products, and input data to keep inventory moving smoothly.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a growing Sonepar family of brands. Full-time hours with competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating sit-down, stand-up or cherry picker forklift.
• Detail oriented with accurate math, verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift 50–70 lbs regularly and more when needed.

Responsibilities

• Organize and transport freight on the dock, loading/unloading trailers.
• Receive large boxes on the warehouse dock and verify products.
• Scan products with RF scanner and input data into the system.
• Break down cases and replenish warehouse stock with equipment.
• Scan and tote pallets for put away.
• Operate material handling equipment as required.
• Cross-train in Inbound, Outbound, Wire, and Conduit areas.

Capital Electric has a Receiving Associate position available at our Charlotte, NC location.A receiving associate is responsible for correctly receiving material into our facility, checking, and stocking material with care and accuracy to ensure every product is prepared to be picked and shipped to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and transporting freight on the dock, include loading and unloading trailers without damaging products. LTL
• Receive large boxes on warehouse dock. UPS/FedEx
• Scan all product with RF scanner, and input product information into computer.
• Break down cases of product and operate heavy equipment to replenish warehouse
• Scanning and toting pallet for put away.
• Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty.
• Equipment in the facility includes: Order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
• Could be crossed training in multiple areas of the warehouse including Inbound, Outbound, Wire, and Pipe/Conduit.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years operating a sit down, stand up or cherry picker forklift
• Detailed oriented
• Good and dependable mathematic, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic
