Job summary

Gourmet Foods International is hiring for a full-time warehouse associate in Milwaukie, OR. The role involves unloading and receiving inventory, picking and packing orders with an RF handheld device, building pallets, and ensuring accurate inventory while following food safety and warehouse safety procedures.

The position requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and comfort working in refrigerated environments. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

As a valued member of our dedicated warehouse team, you’ll play an essential role in delivering high-quality specialty food products to our customers. In this fast-paced and physically active environment, you’ll help keep warehouse operations running safely, accurately, and efficiently.

You’ll unload incoming shipments, accurately receive and organize products, and prepare orders for timely delivery. Every shift offers variety, teamwork, and the opportunity to help move gourmet products from our warehouse to our customers.

What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:

• Unload, receive, and put away incoming inventory
• Operate an RF handheld device to scan, pull, and pack products to fulfill orders
• Follow system prompts and operational instructions to complete assigned tasks
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets for delivery
• Assist with receiving, order fulfillment, staging, and other warehouse activities as needed
• Maintain accurate product handling and inventory practices
• Follow food safety, quality, and warehouse safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Things you need to be able to do:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 30 pounds of force
• Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments ranging from 0°F to 36°F
• Ability to ascend and descend a step up to 10 inches in height
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and safety footwear

Things that are a plus but not a deal-breaker:

• Previous warehouse and/or cold storage experience
• Experience using RF handheld devices or warehouse management systems
• Pallet jack or forklift experience

SCHEDULE:Monday to Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Availability:

Consistent, regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Candidates must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet the position’s availability requirements, which may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or travel as needed to support business and operational needs.
