Job summary

Gourmet Foods International (GFI Midwest) in Kenosha, WI is seeking a full-time warehouse team member. You will unload, receive, and store inventory, and use RF devices to pick and pack orders in a fast-paced, climate-controlled environment.

You will build pallets, assist with order fulfillment, and maintain accurate inventory while following food safety and safety procedures. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and standing for long periods.
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments 0°F to 36°F.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work with precision.

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive, and put away incoming inventory.
• Operate an RF handheld device to scan, pull, and pack products to fulfill orders.
• Follow system prompts and operational instructions to complete tasks.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets for delivery.
• Assist with receiving, order fulfillment, staging, and other warehouse activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate product handling and inventory practices.
• Follow food safety, quality, and warehouse safety procedures.

As a valued member of our dedicated warehouse team, you’ll play an essential role in delivering high-quality specialty food products to our customers. In this fast-paced and physically active environment, you’ll help keep warehouse operations running safely, accurately, and efficiently.

What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:

• Unload, receive, and put away incoming inventory
• Operate an RF handheld device to scan, pull, and pack products to fulfill orders
• Follow system prompts and operational instructions to complete assigned tasks
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets for delivery
• Assist with receiving, order fulfillment, staging, and other warehouse activities as needed
• Maintain accurate product handling and inventory practices
• Follow food safety, quality, and warehouse safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Things you need to be able to do:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 30 pounds of force
• Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments ranging from 0°F to 36°F
• Ability to ascend and descend a step up to 10 inches in height
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and safety footwear

Things that are a plus but not a deal-breaker:

• Previous warehouse and/or cold storage experience
• Experience using RF handheld devices or warehouse management systems
• Pallet jack or forklift experience
