Job summary

Ollie’s Bainbridge is seeking a Receiving Team Leader to supervise the receiving area, ensure accurate freight flow, and maintain stock integrity in the dock.

You will lead a small team, enforce safety, support merchandising, handle damaged goods, and act as Manager on Duty when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks within tight timeframes and deadlines.
• Positive attitude and ability to interact well with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support merchandising of shipments.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise vendor shipments.
• Manage freight flow in receiving area and maintain safe dock.
• Confirm accuracy of incoming merchandise and set up displays.
• Prepare outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of Associates assisting with freight flow.
• Act as Manager on Duty and perform opening/closing duties.

Position Overview:

The Receiving Team Leader oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area as outlined in the company receiving area plan. Responsibilities include the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor in accordance with established processing and visual merchandising standards. Maintain back stock in the receiving area and manage the disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments of merchandise.


• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.

Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.

• Adhere to company standards confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and set up and design merchandise displays.


• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.


• Direct the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.


• Act as Manager on Duty and complete any additional responsibilities as assigned including opening and closing of the store.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
