Job summary

Ollie’s Store 247 in Cookeville, TN is seeking a Receiving Team Leader to oversee the receiving area and ensure efficient freight flow to the sales floor in line with merchandising standards. You will maintain back stock, manage damaged goods disposition, and supervise the freight process to minimize losses.

Responsibilities include unloading and checking shipments, directing direct vendor receipts, and coordinating outbound transfers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines.
• Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments of merchandise.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Direct the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and complete any additional responsibilities as assigned including opening and closing of the store.
