Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. in Slidell, LA is seeking a Receiving Specialist to help receive, process, and move merchandise from delivery to the sales floor, while maintaining an organized receiving area and supporting store operations.

You will assist with truck receiving, pricing, merchandising, and communicating needs to Team Leaders. This role supports smooth operations and customer-facing service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and team player who interacts well with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.

Position Overview

The Receiving Specialist assists with receiving, processing, and moving merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. The Receiving Specialist is responsible for freight handling, merchandising, maintaining an organized receiving area, and supporting efficient store operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
