Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Specialist to support customer service, merchandising, and stock receiving. You will help unload trucks, price merchandise, stock shelves, and maintain a clean store environment while assisting customers and team members.

You will also assist with training new receiving Specialists, greet customers, and operate the register when needed. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential in this role at Ollie’s.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers as they enter, exit, or approach the front end.
• Operate the register accurately and efficiently as needed.
• Be knowledgeable of promotions to answer questions and support donation programs.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Receiving Specialist (RS) assists customers and helps to maintain the store appearance. The RS is responsible for all aspects of customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck, moving freight from the truck to the sales floor, pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area.
• Assist with training new receiving Specialists.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Greet and acknowledge every customer as they enter and exit the store and as they approach the front end.
• Accurately and efficiently operate the register as needed.
• Be knowledgeable of all promotions and advertisements to ensure that customer questions can be answered and to assist with selling product; support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs throughout the year.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the overall store.
• Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
