Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Specialist to support customers and maintain an appealing store environment. You will handle merchandising, pricing, and frontline service while ensuring receiving areas stay organized.

Key duties include assisting with truck dock, stocking, training new staff, and communicating needs to leadership. The role requires guest-facing tasks, register use, and knowledge of promos to drive sales and donations.

Responsibilities

• Operate the register accurately and efficiently as needed.
• Know promotions and assist with selling products; support donation programs.
• Maintain overall store cleanliness.

Position Overview

The Receiving Specialist (RS) assists customers and helps to maintain the store appearance. The RS is responsible for all aspects of customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck, moving freight from the truck to the sales floor, pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area.
• Assist with training new receiving Specialists.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Greet and acknowledge every customer as they enter and exit the store and as they approach the front end.
• Accurately and efficiently operate the register as needed.
• Be knowledgeable of all promotions and advertisements to ensure that customer questions can be answered and to assist with selling product; support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs throughout the year.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the overall store.
• Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
