Job summary

N OV, Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Receiving Specialist to oversee dock receipts, inventory storage, and cycle counts within a busy warehouse environment. You will ensure material accuracy with POs, collaborate with buying and accounting, and maintain precise inventory records.

The role emphasizes problem solving, strong communication, and teamwork to support cross-functional operations and timely material handling. Commitment to safety and PPE is required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 5 years receiving or warehouse experience preferred.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools including Microsoft Office Suite. Oracle knowledge a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner across multiple departments and communication media with changing priorities.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Warehouse and pack out practices.
  • Must be capable of learning to read and understand production blueprints and routers.
  • Must be capable of operating company fork trucks and capable of achieving and maintaining certification for such equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Offloads and processes dock receipts for all inventory locations, confirming the packing list and MTRs against the product received.
  • Ensure all incoming material confirms to the Purchase Order and packing list.
  • Work with buying authorities and accounting to resolve receiving issues.
  • Direct all Shipping, Receiving and Inventory issues to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Maintains complete and accurate Inventory records.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of operating systems related to Inventory and Material Handling functions.
  • Expedites incoming material and parts requests.
  • Stocks warehouse parts accurately in an organized manner.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of all inventory areas.
  • Completes daily Cycle Counts as assigned.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

  • Operate material handling equipment as required, achieve, and maintains fork truck operator certification and use safe working practices as directed.
  • Must be able to work extra hours daily and on weekends as required.
  • Must follow and enforce all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur.
  • Must be able to resolve problems through collaboration and sharing with their teammates.
  • Must be willing to be cross train and to train others to perform the job that is required to get the work done.
  • Must be self-motivated, maintain a productive environment by bringing everybody’s ideas forward, decide on the best method so that everyone will benefit from them as a team.
