Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to process returns from long-term care facilities and manage related inventory and documentation. You will ensure compliance with DEA regulations, assist with credits, and support billing coordination.

The role requires LTC experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy. This position is on-site with a daytime schedule and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Licensed Texas Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care pharmacy is preferred.
• Pharmacy purchasing, ordering, or inventory management experience is preferred.
• Experience with Framework and/or ECM software preferred.
• Demonstrated reliability with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as applicable.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process returned medications from long-term care facilities.
• Inspect returned drugs for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Document and categorize returns.
• Prepare documentation for credits and coordinate with billing, as needed.
• Safely dispose of or prepare medications for restocking following proper procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all returned items and actions taken.
• Ensure proper handling of controlled substances in compliance with DEA regulations.
• Perform all drug distribution duties.
• Receive orders from all vendors and correctly process into system.
• Responsible for inventory, place orders, check drugs & supplies.
• Enter medication orders in system accurately.
• Maintain floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications.
• Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to support workflow and compliance.
• Support and adherence policies for pharmacy standards.
• Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
• Maintain a clean and organized returns area.
• Assist with inventory management and audits as necessary.
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
• Follow all company, state, and federal safety and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for extended periods while performing receiving and inventory-related duties.
• Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment, if applicable and permitted by company policy.

Schedule:

• 8am - 4:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays
