Job summary

Sherwood Bedding Group in Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated production associate to operate a variety of packing machines and adhere to production schedules while working as part of a team.

You will load and unload materials, inspect machinery, maintain accurate production records, and help maintain a safe, orderly work environment; OSHA forklift certification and experience with heavy machinery preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification to operate forklifts (e.g., OSHA in the US) is preferred.
• Experience working with heavy machinery is needed.
• Strong abilities in mechanical testing and implementation are important.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform heavy lifting on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, check, and load products accurately on/off trailers and to/from designated areas of facility.
• Move materials around facility using pallets and crates.
• Stack loads in correct storage bays, following inventory-control instructions.
• Complete forms and handle documentation.
• Inspect machinery to determine need for repairs, and ensure safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports of issues.
