Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Operator for its Purina Animal Nutrition manufacturing team in the United States. This 3rd shift role runs 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM with weekend/overtime/holiday needs, paying $26.40 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential.

You will operate machinery, package products, and help convert raw materials into final goods. Join a member-owned co-op focused on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • 1 year or more of work experience in any industry.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
  • Strong collaboration, communication skills.

Receiving Operator

Pay: $26.40 per hour plus Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour

Shift & Working Hours: 3rd Shift; 10:0 PM to 6.30 AM; Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed

In this role, you will be a key member of our Land O'Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing front-line production processes that add value and quality to the inputs and creation of final high-quality products. You will gain skills and experience of taking raw materials to produce our final products for customers. This will include operating machinery and equipment, packaging the final product. This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business who serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States. We innovate nutritional products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.

Key Responsibilities:

Preferred Experience:
  • 1+ year of manufacturing work experience
  • Machine operation and/or forklift experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
  • Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
  • Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
