What we need

Symbotic is seeking a results-driven Receiving Operations Manager to lead a team focused on improving supply chain operations through streamlined processes and ERP system optimization. This role will oversee the accuracy and efficiency of goods receipt transactions in SAP, resolve invoice discrepancies, and promote continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and project management best practices. The ideal candidate has extensive supply chain expertise, hands-on SAP experience, and strong problem-solving skills to enhance accuracy, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

What we do

Our global sourcing, procurement, and third-party supplier team develop innovative category management strategies in collaboration with the business. The team focuses on strategic third-party partner agreements and supports supplier relationship management, as well as developing commercial and financial pricing models to enhance supplier performance.

What you’ll do

  1. Lead a team of Supply Chain Audit Specialists processing inbound goods receipts and inventory transactions in SAP.
  2. Develop and improve receiving and supply chain processes using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  3. Resolve invoice discrepancies by working closely with procurement, accounts payable, and suppliers.
  4. Drive initiatives to eliminate root causes of invoice and data errors.
  5. Partner with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to configure and maintain ERP systems (SAP, Teamcenter, Fishbowl).
  6. Ensure data accuracy, system adoption, and compliance across the supply chain function.
  7. Monitor KPIs and use analytics to identify trends, improve performance, and support strategic decisions.
  8. Lead supply chain projects using agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
  9. Conduct performance reviews and coach team members to build a high-performing, collaborative team culture.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in supply chain, receiving, or operations—preferably with automation or industrial projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing teams and/or subcontractors in a field-based or installation setting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% to customer sites across the U.S.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and experience resolving data or transactional discrepancies.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Our Environment

  • Up to 60% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • This is a remote and travel-based position requiring 60% travel to our site locations.
