Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Knoxville, TN seeks a Receiving Team Leader to oversee receiving operations and freight flow to the sales floor, ensuring accurate processing and merchandising according to plan. You will maintain back stock and manage damaged goods disposition.

The role requires coordinating shipments, supervising associates, and acting as Manager on Duty as assigned, with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Flexible schedule to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks within strict timeframes and deadlines.
• Must have a positive attitude and interact well with customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support merchandising of distribution shipments.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Adhere to company standards, confirm accuracy of incoming merchandise, and set up displays.
• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other associates assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and handle additional responsibilities including store opening/closing.
