Job summary

Tramec Sloan in Holland, MI seeks a Receiving - Material Handler to manage incoming inventory and input goods into the system. This role supports manufacturing with accurate part receipt and discrepancy alerts, and requires forklift operation and compliance with quality procedures.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00am–3:30pm; hours may vary) with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth, including 401(k) and tuition reimbursement. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and minimum 1 year warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with ERP, bar coding systems and wireless devices strongly preferred.
• Ability to use scanner devices and be proficient with MRP programs and reports; must be detail oriented.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with all levels of staff; team player.
• Powered industrial truck experience preferred; license within 1 month of employment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stage all deliveries from trucks and carriers.
• Print and receive required parts; ensure timely input to system.
• Input products into the system and verify labeling and identity.
• Stock transfer received parts to inventory or manufacturing in a timely manner.
• Manage QA discrepancies and communicate with Purchasing and other teams.
• Operate RF scanners and perform routine inventory transactions.
• Verify incoming shipments counts and product identity.
• Prepare outgoing shipments with correct identity, count, weight and routing.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas following 5S and safety policies.
