Job summary

Tramec Sloan in Holland, Michigan, is seeking a Receiving - Material Handler to manage inventory for incoming parts and products. You will input goods into the system and alert departments to discrepancies, supporting manufacturing operations.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with possible varying hours. The role requires attention to detail, ERP/MRP familiarity, and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with ERP, bar coding systems and wireless devices strongly preferred.
• Ability to use scanner devices and be computer literate with MRP programs and reports.
• Detail oriented with numerical accuracy and counting large quantities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Unloading and staging deliveries from trucks and carriers.
• Input received parts into the system and print required reports.
• Receive and enter products promptly and ensure correct labeling.
• Transfer received parts to inventory or manufacturing in a timely manner.
• Log customer returns and update RA logs for Purchasing.
• Communicate quality issues to Quality and contain parts with holds.
• Operate RF scanner, counting scale, and forklift as licensed.
• Verify incoming shipments for carton/skid counts and identity.
• Prepare outgoing shipments with correct identity, count, weight, routing.
• Maintain 5S discipline and a clean, safe work area.
