Job summary

Benco is seeking a Receiving Material Coordinator – De-Containerization in the United States. You will manage de-containerization processes, loading/unloading trucks, and moving materials within the facility using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or motorized conveyors.

Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail are required to multi-task in a climate controlled warehouse. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with competitive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work with a team.
• Good basic math skills and basic computer knowledge.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Maintain safety and accuracy in receiving processes.

Responsibilities

• Unload shipments by retrieving cartons and items; stack on pallets and move to staging area.
• Verify items and specifications; move to storage locations.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack safely.
• Verify shipment against bill of lading and schedule.
• Enter discrepancies in purchasing database and report.
• Keep receiving area clean and safe; assist in shipping/receiving as needed.

Position Summary

As a Receiving Material Coordinator – De‑Containerization, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of the De‑Containerization process in a timely, safe and accurate manner. This includes, but not limited to, loading and unloading trucks and moving material within the facility and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment.

• Keeps warehouse, loading/unloading docks, and shipping/receiving area clean
• Assists in the Shipping and/or Receiving areas as needed.
• Contributes to receiving and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
• Improves receiving job knowledge by attending training sessions.

Do YOU Meet These Requirements?

• Education:
  • HS Diploma/GED
• Physical:
  • Able to move/lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Able to withstand changing temperatures (potentially very hot in summer and cold in winter due to being inside containers while unloading)
  • Position spends 100% amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
  • Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
