Job Summary

Receiving Leads are key players in our store's success by ensuring products are received quickly and accurately. The Receiving Lead will organize, control, and maintain effective backroom/receiving operations to minimize costs, enforce security procedures, promote a safe work environment, and provide excellent service to all customers. In addition to delivering outstanding guest service, you will guide the team in stocking, ordering, and inventory management. To succeed, you should be a team player who supports others, has leadership aspirations, and can inspire those around you.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year; Desire to become a Non-Union Team Leader.
• Experience Desired: Customer Service; 1 to 2 years in shipping and/or receiving preferred.
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or Licensing Preferred: DSD Certification.
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds.
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years old.

Job Responsibilities

• Support a culture of safety, including food safety, team member safety, and customer safety.
• Conduct business with integrity, delivering unparalleled customer service in every interaction.
• Receive and process all DSD vendor and third-party deliveries and returns according to procedures, maintaining documentation.
• Keep the backroom/receiving area organized, clean, and clutter-free.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment, exceeding health and OSHA requirements.
• Ensure vendors follow company standards for accuracy, safety, and security; receive third-party deliveries per procedures.
• Conduct vendor spot checks and maintain signature logs for deliveries.
• Notify relevant departments of perishable deliveries promptly to maintain cold chain integrity.
• Document and report pricing discrepancies, damaged products, and vendor violations.
• Manage the area outside the receiving room to ensure efficient delivery processing.
• Maintain receiving equipment, perform checks, and report issues.
• Operate paper baler to make bales.
• Use automatic compactor for trash disposal.
• Organize flats/backroom for evening crew.
