Job summary

Camfil in Washington state is seeking a Receiving/QA Inspector to verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists. You will inspect items, measure product dimensions, and ensure documentation such as CMTR and CofC accompanies shipments.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and proficient reading/writing for accurate record-keeping and communication with QA and Purchasing teams.

SUMMARY

Verifies and inspects incoming material per item description or procurement drawing, verify quantity, type of product, equipment, merchandise and or supplies received. Verify receipt compliance to Camfil’s purchase order by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects skids for obvious damage to product and verifies pallet count accuracy against delivery receipt.
• Makes notations on delivery receipt of damage or shortage.
• Verifies product to packing list including part number, description, and quantity against the procurement documents.
• Verifies dimensional and characteristic compliance of product to Engineering drawings using measuring devices such as a tape and caliper or other measurement instruments required to verify product accuracy.
• Verifies that all documentation required by the procurement documents have been provided with the shipment by the supplier such as but not limited to Certified Material Test Reports (CMTR) and Certificates of Conformance (CofC)
• Checks all paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and legibility and if correct, submits paperwork to QA, when required for approval. Scan all documents into record storage.
• Works with Quality Assurance and Purchasing to resolve any receipt issues with product or certifications.
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance and or Warehouse Lead or Coordinator to resolve any receipt inspection issues.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job Normal condition are items will inspect inside an enclosed condition building but occasionally inside delivery trailers with metal or wooden floors. Ground surface is concrete.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent or two years related experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have above average reading comprehension, writing and oral communication skills. Computer skills and telephone etiquette are essential.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

High School math required.
