Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of experience in inspection of mechanical components in aerospace/defense.
• Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with AS9000/AS9100 quality system procedures.
• Able to read and understand English.
• Effective communication with management and engineering staff.
• High attention to detail and basic PC proficiency (MS Office).

Job Description

EBAD is currently seeking an experienced Inspector to join our Receiving Inspection team in Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of components and assemblies as part of receiving inspection
• Inspect product using hand held gages, MicroHeight, and Optical Comparator
• Maintain accurate, neat and complete inspection records
• Keep work area organized and clean and follow all established safety guidelines
• Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals
• Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested
• This position has the possibility for EBAD to teach the inspector on the operation and programming of a Hexagon CMM

Requirements

The successful candidate must have graduated from high school or equivalent G.E.D. and 5+ years of experience with inspection of mechanical components in an aerospace or defense related company.

• Capable of utilizing all standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, and optical systems
• Must be familiar with AS9000/AS9100 quality system procedures
• Must be able to read and interpret Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T)
• Must be able to read and understand military specifications and industry standards
• Must be able to read and understand English
• Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management and engineering staff
• A high level of attention to detail is a must
• Must have basic PC fundamentals, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
