Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Simsbury, CT seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to perform in-process and final inspections of components and assemblies for the Linear Transfer Systems team. You will verify product conformity, maintain inspection records, and communicate findings with the group.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in a technical/aerospace environment, high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and related inspection tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 5+ years in a technical/aerospace or defense setting preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret prints using GD&T and to understand military specifications and industry standards.
• Experience with standard inspection tools and equipment; knowledge of ISO/AS procedures is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork; high attention to detail and proactive attitude.

EBA&D seeks aQuality Assurance Technician (Inspector). This position is located inSimsbury, CT.

Responsibilities:

This position supports the Linear Transfer Systems team in Simsbury. The candidate will be responsible for providing effective verification of products and certification packages against requirements and the communication of findings associated to the verification.

• Perform in process and final inspection of components and assemblies


• Maintain accurate, neat and complete inspection records.


• Keep work area organized and clean and follow all established safety guidelines.


• Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals.


• Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and5+ years of experience, ideally within a technical field or in an aerospace or defense related company.

Required experience includes

• Capable of utilizing all standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, shadow graphs.


• Knowledge of ISO/AS procedures a plus.


• Ability to read and interpret prints using Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T).


• Must be able to read and understand military specifications and industry standards.


• Read and understand English.


• Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management


• High attention to detail.


• Self-starter with strong initiative.


• Reacts with a positive attitude when priorities change.


• Basic PC fundamentals, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
