Job summary

Sypris Electronics, LLC is seeking a Receiving Inspection Technician I in the Tampa area to ensure incoming materials meet drawing, quality, and purchase order requirements before warehouse acceptance.

You will inspect materials per guidelines, coordinate with engineering, document results, generate required documentation, and enter ERP system transactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience inspecting material for electronics manufacturing services
• Knowledge of basic electronics and component identification
• Good working knowledge of electronic systems and databases
• Ability to use tools such as digital multi-meters, calipers, height gauges and like equipment
• Ability to understand and interpret drawings
• May require lifting up to 35 pounds
• Good oral and written communication skills

Job description

The Receiving Inspection Technician I is responsible for ensuring material received at Sypris meets all drawing and quality requirements prior to acceptance into the Warehouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspects material in accordance with Receiving Inspection guidelines, drawings, quality codes and purchase order notes


• Engages with appropriate engineering personnel as required to determine acceptability


• Documents inspection results


• Generates all required documentation as required


• Enters all required system entries/transactions into ERP system

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school or equivalent education. Associates degree, preferred.
