Job summary

Jensen Infrastructure is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead forklift operations and logistics support at our Fontana, CA site. The role emphasizes coordinating employees, providing technical guidance to Forklift Operators, and ensuring accurate inventory movement using the IFS system.

The position requires previous supervisory experience, forklift certification, and a solid understanding of receiving and logistics processes, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift driving certification.
• Minimum of supervisory experience.
• Basic understanding of receiving and logistics functions.
• Ability to train workers in operation of equipment and safety procedures.
• Ensures safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Leads the activities of employees and provides technical guidance to Forklift Operators.
• Troubleshoots problems and coordinates with drivers to resolve issues.
• Trains workers in equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies; retrains as needed.
• Plans schedules, covers shifts, and communicates changes to loading/delivery plans.
• Operates forklifts and other machinery; uses IFS to process inventory movements and maintain records.
• Coordinates with management to ensure smooth loading, unloading, and product storage.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and ensures tools are returned after use.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGReporting to the Supervisor or Manager, the position leads and coordinates the activities ofemployees.A HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR DAY TO DAY WILL INCLUDE:Leads the activities of employees; provides technical guidance to Forklift OperatorsTroubleshoots worker and logistic problems and recommends solutions.Engages in interactive communication.Trains workers in operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.Monitors comprehension and re-trains as necessary.Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site. Works overtime as assigned.Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all workin accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.Ensures that the yard is organized, product is properly stored, and product is easily accessible to load trucks or pull orders as requested by customers. Coordinates with management team and Truck Drivers to ensure there are no loading or product issues.Operates forklifts and other machinery to meet deadlines and customer demands.Must be computer proficient, as the role requires the use of IFS system to process inventory transactions and maintain accurate material movement records.
