Job summary

Jensen Infrastructure is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Foreman to lead the fleet maintenance department and ensure diesel trucks, forklifts, and moving equipment are available, safe, and compliant. You will manage a small team and coordinate with drivers, dispatch, and plant leadership to keep Jensen products moving on schedule.

You will guide preventive maintenance, train staff on equipment operation and safety, and maintain meticulous records.

Qualifications

  • Experience with diesel engines, brake systems, and hydraulics.
  • Able to use basic hand tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of DOT requirements and safety training.
  • ASE, CDL, and forklift certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the fleet maintenance team and oversee the preventive maintenance program.
  • Troubleshoot vehicle and equipment issues and advise on solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment status.

Description
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Fleet Maintenance Foreman is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. You’ll lead the activities of the fleet maintenance department to ensure that fleet and heavy equipment is available, dependable and safe at all times and you’ll oversee the fleet preventive maintenance (PM) program.

Reporting to our Fleet Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead a team of Fleet Maintenance Mechanics. You’ll work with commercial drivers, forklift drivers, dispatch, and plant leadership to ensure on schedule, safe delivery of Jensen products.

A highlight of your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Leading the activities of the fleet maintenance employees.
  • Troubleshooting employee and fleet maintenance problems and recommending solutions. Assisting drivers with vehicle issues.
  • Engaging in interactive communication. Training employees in the operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitoring comprehension and re‑training as necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, returning all tools after use to proper storage location, and performing routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing).
  • Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, operating, and maintaining diesel trucks, forklifts, and moving equipment.
  • Examining and inspecting work progress to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all inspections and maintenance of equipment and recording information such as personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms and reports.
  • Advising supervisor of equipment needing attention.
