Job description

The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for all administrative tasks related to the receipt of presold products into the Wilmington/Andover Distribution Center. This role serves as a key support resource for the Receiving team and oversees all Freight Claims within the facility.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Print and file receiving documents daily.
  2. Print delivery tickets and distribute them to the schedulers.
  3. Manually receive non-Steelcase products into Hedberg.
  4. Troubleshoot scanning issues related to Steelcase products.
  5. Monitor Open Dock and adjust schedules as needed.
  6. Assist Receivers in documenting damages, shortages, and discrepancies.
  7. Serve as a point of contact for issues such as missing POs or packing lists.
  8. Coordinate with Sales and Schedulers for orders requiring quick turnaround.
  9. Monitor the Product Return area.
  10. Handle administrative duties related to monthly cycle counts.
  11. Is responsible for ins and outs of Demo pool.
Freight Claims Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain knowledge of rules and guidelines for Freight Claims, including noted damage, concealed damage, and shortages.
  2. File and manage Freight Claims promptly and accurately.
  3. Take and upload supporting photos for claims.
  4. Coordinate vendor returns and order replacement products.
  5. Notify Sales of all relevant issues and updates.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities:
  1. PC Skills: Microsoft Windows including Word and Excel.
  2. Basic Hedberg knowledge.
  3. Basic product knowledge.
  4. Clear and professional communication, both verbally and in writing.
  5. Detail oriented and organized.
  6. Works well in a multi-task organization.
Level of Education/Training/License:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. B.A / B.S. preferred.
Experience:
  1. One to three years’ administrative experience.
  2. One year experience in similar experience or related industry desired.
