This role will be onsite 5 days a week out of our Juneau, Wisconsin office. Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four-legged friend.

Summary:

The Receiving Coordinator, under the direction of the Distribution and Warehouse Supervisor, will be responsible for leading the process of receiving goods brought to the Juneau facility from outside suppliers, excluding returned customer goods. The Receiving Coordinator is a key member of the team ensuring inventory accuracy within the Juneau facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Examines all incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and overall condition. Verifies materials received against applicable shipping documentation and identifies, documents, and reports shortages, overages, damages, or other discrepancies.
  • Performs receiving transactions promptly and accurately within SAP to ensure materials are properly received and inventory records remain accurate.
  • Reviews receiving documentation and ensures required paperwork and system transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manages and monitors outbound returns and dunnage, ensuring materials are properly identified, documented, staged, and prepared for shipment.
  • Prepares Return Material Authorization (RMA) shipments for return to suppliers, including verifying materials, quantities, documentation, labeling, and packaging requirements.
  • Stages received materials in designated areas for Material Handlers to move to final storage or production locations within the facility.
  • Accurately performs material transfer transactions in SAP for shipments received from outside storage locations and transferred to the Juneau facility.
  • Verifies dunnage weights and counts for accuracy and investigates or communicates discrepancies as needed.
  • Identifies non-conforming shipments related to incorrect items, quantities, damaged materials, packaging concerns, or other quality issues. Communicates discrepancies to Supply Chain and/or Quality and moves affected material to the designated hold area until disposition is determined.
  • Collaborates with the Quality Department to facilitate First Article Inspections (FAI), as required, and ensures applicable materials are appropriately identified and staged for inspection.
  • Receives Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) shipments and promptly notifies the appropriate recipients when deliveries arrive.
  • Receives and distributes business-related packages and deliveries to the appropriate individuals or departments in a timely manner.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and other incoming or outgoing shipments at the loading dock as needed, following established safety procedures.
  • Operates forklifts and other material-handling equipment to safely load, unload, stage, and move materials throughout the facility. Follows all applicable equipment and facility safety requirements.
  • Maintains an organized receiving area to support efficient material flow and prevent misplaced, damaged, or unidentified inventory.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and receiving area by following established housekeeping and workplace organization standards.
  • Communicates receiving issues, shipment discrepancies, material concerns, and other potential disruptions to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
  • Works collaboratively with Material Handling, Supply Chain, Quality, Production, and other departments to support the timely and accurate flow of materials throughout the facility.
  • Provides operational support in Litter, Shipping, and other areas of the facility when receiving responsibilities are caught up or as business needs require. Duties may include material handling, packaging, staging, loading, shipping, or other assigned production and warehouse activities.
  • Follows all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions while performing receiving, material handling, forklift, and other assigned duties.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and facility needs.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2+ years of receiving, warehouse, shipping, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar inventory/ERP system preferred.
  • Ability to become certified on forklifts and other powered equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete receiving and inventory transactions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with Team Members and cross-functional partners.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Comfortable working around office pets, including cats and dogs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. Frequent use of hands and fingers for fine motor tasks, including handling, grasping, and manipulating objects, is required. The role also requires frequent bending, reaching, and the ability to operate both small and large hand tools.

The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as needed to safely perform job duties.
