Position Summary

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, storing, and distributing materials used to support daily manufacturing operations. This position works closely with warehouse, purchasing, production, and other operational teams to maintain inventory accuracy, ensure timely material availability, and support compliance with company safety, food safety, and quality standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform shipping, receiving, inventory, and general warehouse duties according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Receive and inspect shipments; verify quantities, weights, product condition, and documentation, and report discrepancies or damage.
  • Accurately enter receiving and inventory information into company systems and complete required documentation.
  • Pull, stage, and distribute materials to support daily production needs.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Operate a company box truck, as authorized, to transport materials between storage facilities.
  • Operate microwaving equipment to stage raw product for production.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and comply with OSHA, sanitation, and company safety requirements.
  • Communicate and work effectively with vendors, coworkers, supervisors, and management.
  • Participate in required meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position does not oversee staff.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $21.65 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, inventory control, or related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material-handling equipment preferred.
  • Experience using inventory management systems or warehouse software preferred.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

  • Knowledge of receiving, inventory control, shipping, and general warehouse operations.
  • Ability to accurately verify quantities, weights, case counts, and product condition.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating procedures, work instructions, shipping documents, and other job-related materials in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory records and documentation.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and workplace communications.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate quantities, weights, and counts.
  • Ability to follow instructions and use sound judgment when carrying out assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of workplace safety, sanitation, and food safety practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Forklift certification required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work is typically performed in a pet-friendly office environment with low to moderate noise level.
  • Movements including but not limited to prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching are required.
  • Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; talk; see; and/or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
  • Occasional travel to the manufacturing floor required, where the noise level is loud with the dust, vibration, chemical exposure etc. that is typical for a production environment.
  • Exposure to cold, humid environment during intervals throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at all times.
