Addison-Hvac,-LLC in Orlando, FL is seeking a Receiving Clerk to support daily shipping and receiving operations under supervision. You will learn and perform receiving, stocking, inventory checks, and material handling with a focus on accuracy and safety.
This role offers hands-on training across warehouse machinery, tools, and logistics workflows, with opportunities to contribute to inventory records and order fulfillment while adhering to company procedures.
Under direct supervision, the Receiving Clerk learns and executes a variety of clerical and hands-on duties to support daily shipping and receiving operations. Key responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming materials, monitoring inventory records, and distributing shipments. This role offers hands-on training across warehouse machinery, logistics workflows, and inventory management.
Learn and perform all warehouse functions, including receiving goods, stocking shelves, and issuing stock.
Inspect incoming shipments of materials, equipment, and supplies against purchase order specifications, identifying and reporting shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies.
Assist with distributing incoming shipments according to established procedures, marking stock items, shelving inventory, and preparing items for delivery.
Receive and process customer or vendor return orders following standard procedures.
Field incoming telephone calls and provide accurate information regarding warehoused items and receiving activities.
Assist in other departments and operational areas as needed to meet overall company and production goals.
Safely operate material handling equipment and machinery, including:
Forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts
Ladders and elevated platforms
Packaging machinery (e.g., wrapping machines)
Hand tools, air tools, measuring tools, and power equipment (e.g., nail guns, circular saws)
Load and unload trucks for deliveries, and operate motor vehicles (such as trucks or vans) as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company guidelines and safety procedures.
Assist with periodic inventory counts, stock consolidation, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Receiving Manager or Management.
Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license required. Minimum of two years of related shipping/receiving and warehouse experience preferred, though candidates willing to be trained across multiple workstations are encouraged to apply.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to perform repetitive tasks, and prior experience using hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment.
Physical Demands & Work Schedule: Ability to stand for long periods, lift over 40 lbs, safely operate tools and warehouse machinery, and maintain flexibility to follow work schedules based on production and business needs.
