Job description

Receiving Clerk Summary:

Receives, inspects deliveries for the company, assists in loading and unloading trucks. Verifies the contents and amount against the delivery/pack slip. Properly tags all received materials, stores, and delivers to the appropriate personnel. Notifies appropriate personnel of shortages, damaged or incorrect materials received. Maintains records, files and inputs data of all materials received, handles routine correspondence and notification of incoming materials. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to cleanliness of the receiving area and the other areas of the warehouse, forklift operation and assisting in other areas of warehouse operation as needed.

• Performs clerical duties associated with receiving
• Stores and delivers materials and packages
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Prepares bulk materials for shipment
• Operates forklift and other warehouse machinery

Basic qualifications:

• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Available for weekend work schedules and overtime
• Required to lift to a minimum of 50lbs
• Required to follow safety instructions and adhere to safety procedures
• Machine operation experience preferred
