Job summary

Pentair plc is seeking a Receiving Associate for the 1st shift in Chardon, OH. You will receive, move, and store materials, verify shipments, and support material flow across the facility.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, entering data in ERP, maintaining stock records, and ensuring a safe, organized work environment. A 1st shift from 6:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, offers an hourly rate with a potential bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Job Description: Receiving Associate 1st shift - Chardon, OH

We have an opportunity for a Receiving Associate 1st to join our Chardon, OH team. You will receive, move, and store materials; verify shipments and maintain accurate inventory records; support material flow throughout the facility; operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment; and help maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery like forklifts or pallet jacks to unload, move, and store items.
• Compare shipment contents with invoices, manifests, or shipping orders and enter data into ERP systems.
• Label items, maintain stock records, and ensure accuracy.
• Obtain and maintain tow motor license, required.
• Receive raw materials as required.
• Support Material Flow through Chardon campus as needed.
• Implement and sustain adherence to market 5S standards per the market 5S checklist.

Key Qualifications

• Have strong communication skills.
• Have at least 3 years of lift truck experience
• Have the ability to work at a fast pace and in a changing work environment
• Be able to organize and have a strong attention to detail
• Be a self-starter and able to work with little supervision
• Component, assembly and kitting knowledge preferred.
• JDE experience, preferred.

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel-toed shoes are required.

Position Shift/Hours

1st shift: 6:45am – 5:15pm Monday – Friday

Compensation

The hourly pay for this role is: $20.50/hr. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

Hiring Bonus

$1000 Hiring Bonus - The hiring bonus is payable at $500 after 90 days and $500 after 6 months of employment. This amount will be subject to repayment in full if your employment with Pentair terminates at any time within one year of your hire date.
