Job summary

McLane Company seeks a Receiving Assistant to maintain department files, update reports, and support buyers, vendors, and carriers to ensure correct purchase orders are received as scheduled.

You’ll join a safety-focused, team-driven warehouse with 130+ years of history, operating nationwide for restaurant, retail, and e-commerce clients. Benefits begin after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, and 401(k) with profit sharing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years distribution/warehouse experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• English reading/writing at required level for job instructions and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedule of incoming carriers.
• Receive purchase orders, print pallet tags, and coordinate with buyers, vendors, and carriers.
• Communicate receipts of all products to leaders in a timely manner.
• Communicate no call/no shows and rescheduled shipments.
• Ensure shipments received in advance are communicated timely.
• Other duties may be assigned.
