Fastenal Co. is hiring for an entry-level Part-time Receiving position at our 5851 Guion Rd, Indianapolis, IN distribution center. Shifts range from early mornings to evenings, up to 28 hours per week, helping move product through the hub and prepare goods for the next department.

Responsibilities include labeling with RF scanners, unloading, inspecting orders, weighing shipments, and keeping a clean, safe workspace. Training and onboarding lead to performance-based schedule flexibility.

MON TUE WED THU 8:00pm - 1:00am
MON TUE WED THU 10:00pm - 4:00am
SAT SUN 8:00am - 4:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Receiving, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. When inventory arrives at the HUB location, you will verify the product and quantity delivered. Then you will prepare the product to move to the next department, product handling. This is an entry level position based out of our distribution center located at 5851 Guion Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46254. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience operating a forklift
