Job summary

Rogers Corporation is seeking a Warehouse/Material Handler to support shipping and receiving operations in Woodstock, CT. You will locate and prepare materials, load trucks, and ensure accurate paperwork for shipments.

Responsibilities include weighing loads, labeling, recording weights, unloading inbound goods, and storing materials properly. You’ll maintain a clean, safe work area and assist in other material handling tasks as needed.

• Prepare and protect loads for shipment as required. Place labels on loads, weigh and record weight and load materials on trucks.
• Perform transactions using computer and hand held units to ship and receive materials.
• Unload trucks of incoming vendor materials and deliver to the proper storage area including tankers where applicable.
• Report/record any damage of incoming goods before removing from truck to management
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments are as noted on packing slip.
• Obtain materials from storage for both shipment and production, as required.
• Assist in other material handling throughout plant as needed.
• Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
