Job summary

Conval, Inc. is seeking a Receiver/Shipper to join our Production Control team in Enfield, CT. You will manage incoming materials and outgoing shipments, using UPS software and MRPs to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

You’ll handle crates, pallets, and totes, maintain records, and support cycle counts and parts issuing. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid organizational and decision-making skills
• Computer literacy
• Familiarity with order processing systems, shipping software, and MRP systems a plus
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. frequently

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh, and inspect incoming materials and supplies; enter receiving data into the computer system
• Load, unload, and receive crates, parts, and raw materials from carriers
• Mark and tag containers for accurate storage identification (PO numbers, sales order numbers, etc.)
• Inspect materials for damage and notify Supervisors/Purchasing as needed
• Package and ship product using current instructions from Supervisors, Sales, and Management
• Build skids, crates, and cardboard cartons
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, and cranes, as well as pneumatic and hand tools
• Maintain accurate daily shipment records and an organized, safe work area
• Participate in cycle counts and assist with parts receiving/issuing
• Use UPS shipping software to generate labels, tags, and packing lists

In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our shipping and receiving operations accurate, efficient, and on schedule — handling everything from incoming materials to outgoing shipments across multiple carriers.
