Job summary

Merchants Distributors, Inc. (MDI) is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Port Saint Lucie, FL, to support unloading operations and ensure proper handling of inbound product. The role requires using jacks and pallets and may involve operating a lift.

Responsibilities include verifying quality, completing receiving forms, and maintaining food safety standards. The position is on-site with a Monday–Friday evening shift and standing tasks a regular part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse receiving and unloading is preferred.
• Able to lift 1–50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Major Functions:

• Receive inbound product, scan and ensure proper placement

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

• Provide jacks and pallets for the driver to use in unloading.
• Get and complete all prescribed forms for receiving.
• Check for proper quality delivered and put the slot stickers on the merchandise.
• Inspect product for sanitation purposes and temperature requirements.
• Check for proper pack, size, UPC, bar-coding, and weights.
• Communicate with buyers when the product does not match the purchase order.
• May be required to operate lift.
• May be required to do other tasks as necessary and a self-starter.
• Must be able to reach, lift, and stack cases ranging in weight from 1 to 50 pounds.
• Responsible for following all training documents and procedures as it relates to Food Safety and Food Defense

Responsabilidades:
