Job description

Overview

Location: McDonough, GA

Compensation: $23.09/hr.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6:30am

Overview:

The primary function of this position will be the unloading, receiving, and user directed put-awaysof inbound back-hauls, reverse transfers, off hours, and emergency deliveries, along with loads dropped in the yard when time permits. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., Dry, Cooler and Freezer areas).

Responsibilities
  • Receive inbound freight utilizing RF scanner and Warehouse Management System.
  • Record code date, lot numbers, manufacturing numbers, temperature, etc. as required per product received.
  • Ensure that the correct product is received free of damage, infestation, and in the correct quantities ordered.
  • Properly label and put-away product to the pick or reserve location(s) within the required temperature zone(s) using a pallet jack or forklift.
  • Report variances on inbound loads to Operations Clerks and inventory personnel for report to carriers and suppliers. Collaborate with Operations Clerk and inventory personnel on corrections.
  • Safely operate all equipment utilized to perform tasks associated with role.
  • Maintain Company standards for safety, attendance, and conduct.
  • Maintain proper and safe lifting techniques.
  • Perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment.
  • Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions or accidents.
  • Attend all required Company meetings.
  • Follow NDCP’s Good Distribution Practices.
  • Assist in the orderly maintenance & general housekeeping of the warehouse.
  • Cross train in other functions and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to operate shrink-wrap machine and manually shrink-warp product
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (forklift, pallet jack, high lift)
  • Ability to work flexible days and hours. Schedule may include weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Desire and ability to work in a collaborative work environment
  • 1+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Prior receiving experience preferred
  • Manhattan and SAP experience preferred
  • PIT certified on Fork/Clamp truck and Power Jack preferred
