Job summary

Earth Fare Fort Mill is seeking a Receiver to help manage in-store receiving, stocking, and distribution. You will check in vendors, monitor shortages, coordinate flow in back room, and maintain a safe, organized operation.

You will oversee recycling, back door security, and communication with vendors and team members, supporting the Grocery Department with various tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Clear communication and professional direction of others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and use of handheld scanners.
• Detail orientation and basic math skills.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and understand food safety.

Responsibilities

• Check in store vendors, warehouse trucks and carriers per SOPs and document shortages or damages.
• Coordinate product flow in back room and ensure efficient receiving, storing and distribution.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment and proper paperwork.
• Oversee recycling, cart storage, back door security and communications with vendors and team members.
• Support Grocery Department with various tasks as needed.

Receiver

Contributions

• Check in store vendors, warehouse trucks, and common carriers following the Standard Operating Procedures for the department. Document any shortages, discrepancies, damages, or miss-picked items to ensure proper credits to departments and store. Coordinate the flow of product in back room while maintaining an efficient process of receiving, storing, and distribution of product to various departments. Maintain a safe and secure work environment
• Oversee the recycling program and shopping cart usage and storage. Responsible for back door security relating to product and people. Ensure cleanliness of backroom and proper storage of products. Maintain organization of paperwork and communications with Vendors and Team Mates. Support the Grocery Department with various tasks as needed

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to direct people in a positive and professional manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel. Ability to learn and use a hand-held computer scanner
• Detail oriented and proficiency in math skills
• Ability to use a hand operated pallet jack
• Understanding of food safety and warehouse experience preferred
• Forklift certification preferred

Environmental Conditions

• Works in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service
• May work in environments of extreme cold and extreme heat for short periods of time
• May travel periodically for meetings

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. (In the event an item weighs over 50 pounds the Team Member should have another member of the team help lift the item)
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat
• Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads
• Must be able to stand and be on ones feet the majority of the work day
