Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FED division in Beltsville, MD is seeking a Receiver for the Afternoon Shift to support our manufacturing lines. The role is daylight, with core hours 10 am–6 pm, Monday through Friday, and overtime may occur. The hourly rate is $20.50 per hour.

You will verify and receive materials, enter data in our systems, stage stock, and help maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and process improvements. Safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in receiving/materials handling preferred.
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from deliveries, verify quantities and inspect for damages.

What You’ll Do The Receiver accurately receives material, stock, and pulls product from and for the manufacturing lines; load and unload trucks and stage the material for use; enter data into the computer system; put material away neatly in its designated location; assist in maintaining the business system's inventory by participation in cycle counts, discrepancy investigation, scanning, and solution implementation and develop and implement improvements to the shipping and receiving processes. In This Role, You Will

• Receive materials from delivery trucks, acquire signatures, verify quantities with purchase order, unpack the materials, inspect incoming material for non-conformance
• Inspect the conditions and verifies the quantities of packages being delivered prior to accepting and signing receipt of shipment
• Indicate damages and quantity variances on shipping documents prior to accepting shipment and notify leader of damages and variances immediately
• Generate receiving documents from the computer system and reconcile the receiving documents to the packaging lists
• Indicate number of items received on the receiving document and enters quantity of items received into the computer system.
• Receive all items into the computer system on the same day of delivery.
• Ability to navigate and use MFG Pro computer system to verify and upload purchase orders and inventory levels
• Understands quality control functions associated with material certification of conformance
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of area (5S+)
• Effectively communicate with our external suppliers addressing issues associated with required paperwork and inspection reports
• Interact with interact with different carrier such as FedEx, UPS, DHL.
• Data Entry in computer and mobile device
• Train new and existing employees
• Help in other departments when needed

Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in receiving
• Expert level on excel, using inventory software (MRP system)

Skills

• Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
• Requires frequent lifting, bending and operation of heavy industrial mechanical equipment, such as forklifts and overhead cranes
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use both hands constantly and work in adverse weather conditions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Possible exposure to radiation through the use of a XRF device for scanning material
• Ability to use computer to review and print information
