Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Receiver for the 1st shift in Shelby, OH. You will correctly receive and track parts using the RF system, ensure quality and damage-free parts, and complete material handling documentation such as skid tags.

Ideal candidates have a state-approved Tool & Die Maker card or equivalent experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift 40 pounds. You’ll be part of a safety-focused team with opportunities for on-the-job training and overtime as

• State-approved Tool and Die Maker card or equivalent experience.
• Ability to verify quality of a product.
• Good organizational skills.
• Basic PC skills with knowledge of WM.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds consistently.
• Basic math and following written/verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work, contribute and succeed in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and track parts using the RF system.
• Ensure parts have not incurred shipping damage and are quality compliant.
• Complete material handling documentation (e.g., skid tags).
• Perform on-the-job training as needed.
• Responsible for daily 6S activities: housekeeping, organized and safe work area, paperwork.
• Demonstrate safety culture and correct unsafe conditions.
• Work overtime as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

As a Receiver, you’ll be part of our team located in Shelby, OH. You’ll get to:

• Correctly receive and track parts using the RF system.
• Ensure parts have not incurred any shipping damage and are quality compliant.
• Completing proper material handling documentation (i.e. skid tags).
• Perform on-the-job training as needed.
• Responsible for daily 6S activities, such as housekeeping, maintaining an organized and safe work area, and any appropriate paperwork/check sheets.
• Demonstrate a commitment to working in a safety culture by working safely and correcting unsafe be conditions within assigned work area.
• Work assigned overtime when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills
