Job summary

CACI seeks an experienced Network Recapitalization Project Manager to lead strategic upgrades of our network infrastructure. You will partner with the Project Lead to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of complex network transformations, coordinating across engineering, operations, vendors, and IT to meet milestones.

The role requires 7+ years in project management and strong communication, budgeting, and risk-management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical management or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of related work experience.
  • TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.
  • Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and timelines for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of network recapitalization projects, aligned with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, vendors, IT) to meet milestones and manage risks.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and quality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate and up-to-date (scope, timelines, budgets, technical requirements).
  • Regularly report on project status to senior leadership, including progress, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure adherence to processes and best practices, including security and regulatory standards.
  • Foster continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities in the network.

Job description

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Network Recapitalization Project Manager to lead and manage the recapitalization of our network infrastructure. This individual will work closely with the Project Lead to be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of network upgrades and transformations. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of networking technologies, and a proven track record in managing complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of network recapitalization projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.

  • Develop and manage project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resources, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, vendors, and IT) to ensure project milestones are met and risks are managed.

  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that products and services are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure project documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including scope, timelines, budgets, and technical requirements.

  • Regularly report on project status to senior leadership, including progress, risks, and issues.

  • Ensure adherence to organizational processes and best practices, including compliance with security and regulatory standards.

  • Foster continuous improvement by identifying areas for optimization in the network and recommending solutions for enhanced efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical management, or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of work related experience

  • TS/SCI with Poly required

  • Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management for large-scale projects.

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow PPM) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members, as needed.

  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management tools

Desired:

  • PMP or other project management certification is a plus.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300-$189,600
