Job summary

Statkraft seeks an experienced REC Originator in San Francisco or New York to lead environmental product deals, focusing on RECs and related instruments. You will match renewable generators and suppliers with buyers, expanding Statkraft’s Environmental Products platform.

The role requires 3–5+ years in REC or environmental markets, a strong commercial mindset, deep industry relationships, and ability to price, structure, and hedge transactions end-to-end.

Qualifications

3–5+ years prospecting and originating transactions in REC or environmental markets.
Strong network with corporates, utilities, brokers and traders.
Solid understanding of US REC markets and RPS frameworks.
Experience with master trading agreements (ISDA/EEI) preferred.
Analytical, detail-oriented with strong communication.

Responsibilities

Develop and grow Statkraft's Environmental Products origination in RECs.
Build and maintain relationships with key counterparties.
Lead end-to-end deal execution and structuring.
Develop financial models for valuation and risk.
Monitor regulatory frameworks and market developments.
Collaborate with credit, legal, operations and trading teams.
