Under the leadership of the Head Cashiers, Cashiers are responsible for the admissions and concessions operation for the Sun Prairie Family Aquatic Center.
Dates Needed: May - August
Start: $10.00/hr
Hours: 20-40 hours/week (If candidate is interested in assisting with swim lessons there is the opportunity for additional hours as a Swim Lesson Aide). Cashier hours will take place Monday – Sunday between 11:30 am and 8:30 pm.
Major Duties/Essential Functions
- Calculates admission and/or concession fees, receive monies from patrons and provide change
- Answers telephone and responds to patron questions courteously and professionally
- Operate cash register and follow proper cash handling procedures
- Assist in the preparation and completion of concession orders in accordance with safe food handling procedures and best practices
- Keeps lobby of pool facility in a clean and tidy order
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS OF WORKExperience/Education:- Must be 15 years or older
- Previous experience in food handling and/or cash handling preferred
Skills, knowledge or abilities needed:- Experience working in an aquatic facility setting is desired
- American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certification is desired
- Experience and/or knowledge of customer service and conflict resolution best practices
- Ability and willingness to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions
- Ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks
- Ability and willingness to keep accurate records and complete all necessary paperwork
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public in a courteous and tactful manner
- Ability to accurately count money
- Provide clear communication to and from supervisor and the public
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
