Job summary

Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. in Tulsa seeks a Rebuild Mechanic to disassemble, clean, inspect, repair and reassemble reciprocating engine and compressor components and related equipment in a fast-paced environment.

You will use precision instruments to measure parts, collaborate on repair plans, ensure proper handling and sign off on test runs, all while following strict safety and environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair and assemble reciprocating engine and compressor components and related equipment.
• Use micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges and other instruments to measure and assess dimensional integrity.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze inspection results and develop repair plans for mechanical equipment.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and organization of disassembled components to prevent damage.
• Reassemble repaired or replaced components in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Oversee and sign off on test runs and quality assurance checks.
• Follow safety regulations and wear required PPE; observe HSE procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forklifts when required.
• Work overtime, nights and weekends as needed by management.
• Record parts and materials used and process requisitions for new parts.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges and take accurate measurements and assess dimensional integrity of parts.
• Collaborate with other team members to analyze inspection results, and develop repair plans for mechanical equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of disassembled equipment components to prevent damage or loss.
• Perform reassembly of repaired or replaced components in accordance with technical specification and quality standards.
• Oversee and sign off on test runs and quality assurance checks.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, wear required and appropriate PPE.
• Observe and follow company health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
