Job summary

Wells is seeking a Rebar Fabrication Laborer to support production by assembling, staging, and handling rebar and mesh cages in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

You will load/unload materials, maintain a clean work area, and assist with general warehouse tasks while following company safety policies and procedures. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to read a tape measure and blueprints.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Basic math and algebra skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Rebar Fabrication Laborer, you support production by assembling, staging, and handling rebar and mesh cages to meet project specifications. This role also includes loading/unloading materials, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting with general warehouse tasks in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a dependable, safety-minded team player with strong attention to detail and basic fabrication skills. The ideal candidate can read a tape measure, follow blueprints, and work efficiently in a hands-on production environment.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • Previous rebar or construction experience preferred
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch
  • Basic math and algebra skills
  • Ability to safely use a variety of tools, including rebar tie guns, rebar shears, and rebar/mesh benders
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
