Job summary

White Cap is seeking a hands-on Production Associate to fabricate reinforced steel (rebar) per work orders and customer specs. You’ll operate cutting and bending equipment, inspect finished products, and prepare shipments in an industrial setting.

The role requires reading work orders, following safety rules, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while meeting quality standards in varying weather and production conditions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Experience in rebar fabrication, manufacturing, or related production environment.
• Ability to read basic work orders and rebar tags.
• Experience operating fabrication machinery.
• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification required, where applicable.
• Use of PPE is required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates reinforcing steel (rebar) products according to work orders and tags.
• Sets up and safely operates rebar fabrication equipment such as shears and benders.
• Stacks, bands, and stages materials following production flow.
• Inspects finished materials to ensure conformance to specs.
• Identifies defects and makes necessary adjustments per processes.
• Prepares completed products for shipment with protective materials.
• Keeps work area clean, safe, and organized; stores tools properly.
• Follows safety policies, attends training, and reports hazards.
• Performs duties indoors and outdoors, weather permitting.
