Pay: $20.00 per hour

Location: Lindon, Utah

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hard-working Rebar Fabricator to join a busy steel fabrication operation. This person will operate rebar fabrication equipment and load materials in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. This is aheavy labor position requiring previous experience in construction, steel, fabrication, manufacturing, or another physically demanding industrial environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with heavy steel materials, following safety procedures, operating or learning production equipment, and working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This position is temp-to-hire with a 90-day evaluation period, providing an opportunity for the right candidate to earn a permanent position based on attendance, performance, work ethic, safety, and overall job fit.

Responsibilities

• Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklifts, threaders, forging, welders, etc.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers
• Assist in various cleanup tasks
• Participate in safety programs
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned and requirements may vary from time to time to time

Qualifications

• Previous experience in heavy construction, steel, fabrication, manufacturing, welding, warehouse, or industrial labor strongly preferred.
• Understand construction/rebar terminology
• Ability to operate fabrication equipment without supervision in a safe manner
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Communicate effectively - verbal and written
• Ability to work flexible hours

Physical & Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding heavy-labor position.

Candidates must be able to:

• Work around heavy steel and industrial equipment.
• Lift and move heavy materials throughout the shift.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Work in varying weather and temperatures as required.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely perform repetitive physical tasks.

Requirements

• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Background check required.
• Must be able to successfully complete the employer's screening process.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are strongly preferred.
