Job summary

CMC is seeking a hands-on operator to support fabrication and loading of rebar and related materials. You will learn equipment through on-site training and contribute to a fast-paced industrial setting.

The role requires working outdoors in varied weather, lifting up to 50 pounds, and cross-training across multiple machines with strong adherence to safety policies. A High School diploma is preferred, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Willing to cross-train as required.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Read technical documents and service manuals.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Operate production machines according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Crosstrain on multiple machines.

What You'll Do

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment
• Perform additional duties as needed
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Crosstrain on multiple machines
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.

What You'll Need

• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
• Able and willing to cross train as required
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
• Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
• Ability to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervision
• Able to work overtime as business requires
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed
• Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals
• Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industrial field
• Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form are necessary to be successful in this role
• Minimum 1 year working with heavy industrial environment experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned for emergency situations
• Must possess work ethic and ability to be punctual
• Stand for long periods of time

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
