Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced automotive engineering professional to support design and development across vehicle programs. You will define requirements, develop CAD models, perform tolerance studies, and collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve issues.

With a focus on concept-to-production vehicle development, the role emphasizes cross‑functional teamwork, documentation, and support across CAE, prototyping, and validation activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience.
• 2+ years CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience or V5).
• GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• DFMA and serviceability principles.

Responsibilities

• Define component and system engineering requirements.
• Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
• Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
• Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, Sourcing and validation activities.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
• Collaborate with internal cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage engineering changes and documentation.
• Proven background in concept‑to‑production vehicle development and problem‑solving.

Domain Specific Skills:

• Experience with cargo doors, roller doors, and automated closure systems.
• Ability to define interfaces for actuation, controls, sensing, and surrounding vehicle systems.

• 2y+ CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Expereince or V5).
• GD&T and tolerance analysis
• DFMA & Serviceability principles.
• Problem‑solving and root cause analysis.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
